The summit holds an active discussion to increase awareness of the state’s extractive industries as valuable building blocks to Michigan’s future. Talking points include the state’s workforce, education opportunities, investment and growth, and collaborative partnerships between industries, communities and government. Theodore Pagano, P.E., G., CEO of Michigan Potash Company LLC, presented at the summit to bring awareness to the their projects and the importance of potash. “Potash is necessary for food production. It is necessary for all forms of life, it sustains the grower, and it is the tightest controlled commodity in the world.
